Dangerous Escalation in the Persian Gulf: Reports of Iranian Attacks on US Bases

Iranian state television, citing military sources, has announced fresh ballistic missile strikes on US-linked military bases across the Persian Gulf region. According to reports, several bases were targeted, prompting urgent safety measures.

Local authorities in multiple Gulf countries urged citizens to stay indoors and avoid military zones. In the UAE, a powerful explosion was reported near Abu Dhabi, with airspace closed. Iranian ballistic missiles reportedly struck Al Dhafra Air Base, triggering large explosions.

In Bahrain, smoke rose over the Al Juffair area housing the US Fifth Fleet headquarters. Qatar’s Interior Ministry issued shelter-in-place orders after a Patriot system intercepted missiles targeting Al Udeid Air Base. Qatar’s Defense Ministry confirmed repelling several attacks and maintaining high alert.

Powerful explosions were also heard in Kuwait, where authorities advised residents to remain at home. The situation is rapidly evolving, with unconfirmed reports of further strikes. Regional tensions remain critically high.
