🚹30 MINUTES AGOđŸ˜±Shock in D.C.: President Donald Trump Shot AGAIN

WASHINGTON — An assassination attempt disrupted the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner on Saturday night, forcing the evacuation of President Donald Trump, First Lady Melania Trump, Vice President JD Vance, and hundreds of journalists and officials at the Washington Hilton.

Gunfire erupted shortly after the event began, as the suspect charged a security checkpoint outside the main ballroom. Secret Service agents quickly subdued the attacker, preventing him from reaching the crowded gathering. One agent was struck in the chest at close range but survived after being protected by a bulletproof vest.

The suspect was identified as Cole Tomas Allen, 31, of Torrance, California. Authorities said Allen, a hotel guest who had arrived by train several days earlier, was armed with a 12-gauge shotgun, a .38-caliber pistol, and multiple knives. He was apprehended in the lobby—reportedly shirtless—and pinned down by agents.

Interim D.C. Police Chief Jeffrey Carroll described Allen as a lone actor with no known accomplices. Investigators are examining writings in which Allen allegedly expressed anti-administration views. A search of his California residence is underway as officials seek to determine a motive.

President Trump praised law enforcement’s rapid response, calling the agents’ actions “fantastic.” In remarks afterward, he described the suspect as a “sick person” and noted a brief moment of unity among attendees from across the political spectrum as the threat unfolded.

Organizers canceled the remainder of the program by 9:45 p.m. The annual event, known as Washington’s “nerd prom,” typically features political satire and celebrity appearances. The White House Correspondents’ Association said it plans to reschedule the dinner within the next 30 days.

The incident has prompted an immediate review of security protocols at the Hilton and other high-profile venues in the capital. It ranks among the most serious security breaches at a major Washington political event in recent years.
