Iranian Regime Unleashes Chilling Video Targeting Melania, Barron

Iranian state-linked media has released a two-minute propaganda video that explicitly encourages an attack on First Lady Melania Trump and ends with a threat against Barron Trump, the president’s 20-year-old son.

The clip, circulated as “How to Kill Melania Trump” and “Where to Kill Melania?!,” was posted by Tasnim News Agency, an outlet closely tied to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. It uses images of the first lady in a motorcade and at sites around New York, naming luxury stores she is known to visit, including Bergdorf Goodman and Saks Fifth Avenue. Red target-style graphics appear over store signs as a limousine passes. The narration calls those shopping trips “suitable for operations by global freedom fighters.”

The video frames Melania Trump’s interest in fashion as a vulnerability. It suggests contaminating clothing she might buy with a nerve agent and names three of her stylists, proposing large payments to induce them to help. It closes with the line: “This is just the beginning. Barron Trump, wait for us.”

The East Wing and Secret Service did not immediately comment when the video surfaced. Both the first lady and Barron receive full-time Secret Service protection. Trump family residences—the White House, Trump Tower in New York, Bedminster in New Jersey, and Mar-a-Lago in Florida—remain under heavy security. A Secret Service spokesperson later said the agency was aware of the video and investigates any perceived threat to its protectees, declining to discuss operational details.

The video is part of a wider campaign. Since a joint U.S.-Israel operation killed Iran’s supreme leader and other senior figures and the war that followed, Tehran’s propaganda apparatus has targeted the Trump family repeatedly. Last week, billboards around Tehran demanded the deaths of President Donald Trump and his relatives, including Melania and all of his children: Don Jr., Ivanka, Eric, Tiffany, and Barron. One display read “Blood for blood.” Another showed mocked-up images of Melania, Barron, and Ivanka with their eyes closed and the word “KILLED” stamped across them, alongside the message “Hey, terrorist! Get ready to die.”

Melania Trump has kept a lower public profile this month. She skipped Friday’s White House Correspondents’ Association dinner; a source close to her cited a scheduling conflict.

President Trump remains the regime’s primary target and has addressed the threats directly. Earlier this month, citing Iranian threats, he switched from the new Air Force One to an older aircraft when leaving Turkey after a NATO meeting. Speaking to reporters, he said: “I’ve been on their list for a long time. That’s what we’re dealing with. The only thing is, I’ve left instructions—if anything happens, to just literally bomb them at levels that they’ve never seen before.”

Tasnim has previously posted similar material aimed at the president. Analysts and U.S. coverage describe the Melania video as psychological warfare more than a verified operational plan: much of the imagery appears AI-generated or drawn from public sources, and security officials have not confirmed the accuracy of its claims about movements or protection details. Even so, the content is treated as a threat because it names family members, locations, and intermediaries and calls on “freedom fighters” to act.

The pattern is consistent with a regime that sponsors terrorism and uses state media to project strength after battlefield losses. Graphic billboards and assassination-themed videos are meant to intimidate the first family and rally domestic audiences. They also risk inspiring copycats, which is why the Secret Service treats them as intelligence matters rather than mere rhetoric.

Protection of Melania and Barron continues without public change in posture. The contrast is stark: a theocracy broadcasting targeting language against a first lady and a college-age son, and an American security apparatus that investigates every such product while the president states that any successful attack would bring a response of unprecedented scale.

These productions are not idle insults. They are calculated messages from a government that has already lost its supreme leader and is trying to turn personal threats into political theater. Vigilance around the first family, and the president’s stated red line, remain the official U.S. answer.
