Nancy Guthrie, 84, the mother of Today show co-host Savannah Guthrie, remains missing after disappearing from her home in the Catalina Foothills area near Tucson, Arizona. She was last seen on the evening of January 31, 2026, after a family member dropped her off at the residence. Family reported her missing the next day when she failed to appear for church.

Investigators believe Guthrie was taken against her will. Blood found on the front steps and porch matched her DNA. A doorbell camera (described as a Ring or Nest device) at the front door was disconnected and removed; authorities examined whether it was intentionally taken to eliminate potential evidence.

In February, the FBI and Pima County Sheriff’s Office released recovered images and video showing a masked individual at the front door in the early morning hours of February 1. The person, described as a male roughly 5 feet 9 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall, wore gloves, a backpack, and appeared to carry a holstered handgun while attempting to obscure or tamper with the camera.

No suspects have been publicly identified or arrested in connection with the suspected abduction. Savannah Guthrie and her family have issued repeated public appeals for information and her safe return, with rewards offered. As of late 2026, the investigation remains active, with officials continuing to review DNA, digital evidence, and tips.
