🚨 BREAKING NEWS!! Shock in Washington, D.C.: President Donald Trump Reportedly Shot Again…

The White House Correspondents’ Association dinner, long billed as Washington’s “nerd prom,” was cut short on the night of April 25, 2026, after an armed hotel guest charged a security checkpoint one floor above the Washington Hilton ballroom. President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance, Cabinet officials, and more than 2,500 journalists and guests were inside when gunfire erupted near the terrace-level magnetometers.

Authorities identified the suspect as Cole Tomas Allen, 31, of Torrance, California, a registered guest who had checked in the day before after traveling from Los Angeles by train. Officials said he ran through a checkpoint carrying a 12-gauge pump-action shotgun, a .38-caliber pistol, and knives. He was stopped at the top of a staircase leading toward the ballroom and taken into custody. He never reached the dinner floor.

A Secret Service officer was struck in the chest. A ballistic vest stopped the round, and the officer was not reported to have life-threatening injuries. Allen was not shot; he suffered a minor injury and was restrained on the floor. Federal prosecutors later charged him with attempting to assassinate the president, interstate transportation of a firearm, and discharging a firearm during a crime of violence. Officials described him as a lone actor. Investigators searched his California residence and reviewed writings he sent family members shortly before the incident.

Inside the ballroom, guests first mistook the shots for falling dishes. Agents then swept the room, pulling principals from their seats as plates crashed and people ducked under tables. Trump later praised the response as fast and effective and called Allen a “sick person.” He also said the room, for a moment, felt unusually unified. Organizers first hoped to continue the program, then canceled the rest of the night and said the dinner would be rescheduled within 30 days. Trump said he had wanted to stay and deliver remarks.

The episode immediately raised questions about hotel-guest access at an event with the president and much of the succession line in one room. Secret Service officials argued the plan worked because the suspect was stopped before the ballroom. Critics pointed to the fact that a guest had already been inside the building with weapons. A review of security protocols at the Hilton followed. No broader public threat was announced after the arrest.
