BREAKING NEWS!! Shock in D.C.: President Donald Trump Shot AGAIN

Gunfire erupted outside the main ballroom of the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner on April 25, 2026, forcing the rapid evacuation of President Donald Trump, First Lady Melania Trump, and senior administration officials in one of the most serious security breaches at a major Washington political event in recent years.

The incident occurred at the Washington Hilton shortly after 8:30 p.m., as the annual black-tie gala — often dubbed the “nerd prom” — was just getting underway. Attendees, including journalists, lawmakers from both parties, and top Trump administration figures such as Vice President JD Vance and White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, were abruptly ushered out or took cover amid the chaos.

According to federal authorities, Cole Tomas Allen, a 31-year-old tutor and computer engineer from Torrance, California, approached a security checkpoint on the hotel’s terrace level armed with a 12-gauge pump-action shotgun, a .38 caliber pistol, and multiple knives. Allen allegedly sprinted through a magnetometer holding the shotgun in a raised position and exchanged gunfire with Secret Service agents. One agent was struck in the chest at close range but survived due to wearing a ballistic vest. Allen was tackled and apprehended in the lobby area, shirtless and suffering only minor injuries.

No other injuries to attendees or additional casualties were reported. President Trump later praised the Secret Service for its swift response, stating that agents “acted very quickly” and did a “fantastic job” in neutralizing the threat before it could reach the crowded ballroom.

In remarks following the incident, Trump described the atmosphere inside the room as one of unexpected unity. “Despite everything, there was a sense of togetherness,” he said, noting that the event — traditionally a celebration of press freedom — briefly brought journalists and politicians from across the political spectrum together in shared resilience. He expressed disappointment that he was unable to deliver his planned remarks critiquing the press corps but supported the decision to cancel the remainder of the program. Organizers officially called off the dinner around 9:45 p.m. and announced plans to reschedule within 30 days.

Allen, who had checked into the hotel as a registered guest, was charged with attempted assassination of the President, assault on a federal officer with a deadly weapon, and multiple firearms violations. He has pleaded not guilty. Prosecutors say he traveled by train from California and began planning the attack weeks earlier, searching for details about the event and Trump’s schedule. In a message sent to family members shortly before the incident, Allen reportedly expressed opposition to Trump administration policies and referred to himself in dramatic terms.

Interim D.C. Police Chief Jeffrey Carroll described Allen as a lone actor with no immediate evidence of broader threats. Authorities searched his California residence as part of the ongoing investigation.

The White House Correspondents’ Association dinner is a longstanding tradition that typically blends political satire, celebrity appearances, and networking among Washington’s media and political elite. President Trump’s attendance marked a notable return to the event during his second term.

The breach has prompted an immediate review of security protocols at the Washington Hilton and other high-profile venues in the capital. While the evening ended in disruption and fear, many attendees later highlighted the professionalism of law enforcement and the composure shown under pressure.

The case remains under active investigation by the FBI, Secret Service, and other federal agencies. Allen is being held in federal custody pending further court proceedings.
