Donald Trump calls Barack Obama ‘demonic’ and urges for him to be ‘imprisoned’ in bizarre late-night rant

Trump Intensifies Attacks on Obama in Late-Night Truth Social Blitz

Former President Donald Trump launched a vigorous late-night posting spree on Truth Social this week, sharing and reposting dozens of messages that sharply targeted his political opponents, with former President Barack Obama receiving the heaviest focus.

In one widely circulated repost, Obama was labeled the “most DEMONIC FORCE in American politics in decades.” The message escalated dramatically, urging authorities to “Arrest them all. Prosecute them all. Incarcerate them all at once for treachery, treason, and seditious conspiracy to overthrow the United States government. But first Barack Obama.” Another repost from a pro-MAGA account directly declared, “Arrest Obama the traitor,” while accusing the former president of fabricating evidence regarding Russian interference in the 2016 election.

Trump’s posts repeatedly echoed long-standing, unproven claims that Obama’s administration used federal agencies to spy on his 2016 presidential campaign. He has consistently described these alleged actions as “the biggest political crime in American history.” Several reposts highlighted older clips featuring Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard and references to a 2020 report suggesting the Obama-era intelligence community pushed narratives about Russian election meddling to undermine Trump’s candidacy.

Obama has firmly rejected these accusations in the past, dismissing them as “bizarre” and a “weak attempt at distraction.” No criminal charges have ever been brought against Obama related to these matters.

Trump also resurfaced content linking Obama to Hillary Clinton’s private email server controversy, though the reposts provided no new evidence. The flurry of activity underscores Trump’s continued emphasis on revisiting 2016 campaign grievances, particularly amid recent declassifications and reviews by the current administration.

Separately, Obama recently addressed a controversial AI-generated video shared by Trump earlier this year that depicted Obama and his wife Michelle as apes. In an interview with The New Yorker, Obama stated he does not necessarily view the video as a direct personal attack on himself but strongly objects to its inclusion of his family. “I would never talk about somebody’s family in that way,” he said, expressing broader concerns about the weaponization of AI in political discourse.

Trump’s intense social media activity has drawn both strong support from his base and sharp criticism from opponents, who see it as inflammatory rhetoric that escalates political divisions. The episode highlights the persistent tensions and unresolved disputes from the 2016 election that continue to shape American politics more than a decade later.
